National School of Drama (NSD) in collaboration with Stepping Stones School (SSS) organised a summer theatre workshop for children from July 16 to August 5 at Stepping Stone School, Duncan Basti, Dimapur.
In a press release from alumni NSD Theatre in Education, Arun Thapa stated that around 16 students from different schools participated in the “Theatre in Education” workshop. The workshop focused on the overall development of the children. The sessions were designed in a way to let the children participate, engage, explore and enjoy the process of learning. Different methodologies and theatre conventions were used to make the children aware of the world they live in.
The workshop culminated with a small devised play. The workshop was conducted by alumni of NSD TIE, Arun Thapa and Kilangtemsu Imsong.
