SKK observes Sumi Patroits Day

 The Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SKK) observed Sumi Patroits Day on August 4, at Zunheboto town.

A press release from, SKK president Atokiho Sumi and general secretary Hutoshe Kits stated that the Day was observed in commemoration of the Sumis who undertake hardships and struggles till their last breath, sacrificing their lives for the cause of the Naga freedom movement. It is also observed to mark the 50th Death Anniversary of late general Kaito Sukhai, first commander-in-chief Naga Army the youngest general in the world. 
The program saw a mammoth gathering from different Sumi civil societies, organisations and students from various institutions. 
The program was chaired by SKK tribunal general Ninoto Awomi, keynote address was delivered by SKK president Atokiho Sumi, solidarity speech was delivered by Sumi Hoho, speech on the recollection of past observation by Sumi hoho former president Dr. H.S. Rotokha. 
Speeches on behalf of the patriot families were delivered by Nagatoli Yepthomi and Lashika Zhimomi and the SKK Anthem was sung by Immanuel Hr. Sec. School, Zunheboto.
