Daniel Lotha has taken over as the new cabinet secretary (CS) with effect from August 16, replacing the successful tenure of previous CS, D. G. Robert on July 31. A press release from NSCN (I-M) through its MIP stated that, the farewell-handing & taking over program was held on August 16 at CHQ Hebron in the presence of senior functionaries of the GPRN. Apart from gift presentation as a token of honour to the outgoing CS and incoming CS by various ministries of the government, words of gratitude and appreciation to the two senior officials were shared by kilo kilonser and co-convener of the Steering Committee on behalf of the government. The congregation prayed for the predecessor and the successor of the cabinet secretariat. The GPRN wished both of them the best in their future endeavours.
