Dimapur Youth Fest 2018 under the theme ‘Youth Towards a Progressive Society’, organized by Ethnic Group of Nagaland (EGoN) in collaboration with M/s MW Enterprise, Dimapur will begin on August 24 at DDSC stadium, Dimapur.
The festival will be a platform for the youths to showcase their talents and thus bring people from different communities together.
The youth festival hopes to bring in variegated youth related programmes including music, fashion and sports which will serve as not only a collective regalia for Dimapur but also draw the attention of youths within the state as well as others from the North East region.
Some of the main events include open penalty shootout, cosplay contest, interschool school singing competition, competitive eating contest, amateur photo competition, live concert and stalls by emerging entreprenuer. The two-day fest will culminate with Miss Dimapur 2018 beauty pageant on the eve of August 25 from 5 p.m. onwards.
Cosplayers from Nagaland Anime Junkies (NJA) led by Babie Natso and and some from Dimapur will also be part of the fest.
The opening ceremony will begin from 9: 30 a.m. with a special attraction by Nagaland Motorcycle Club (NMC) and a performance by the contestants of Miss Dimapur 2018.
The beauty pageant will be directed by Toshizen and the panel of judges will comprise of individuals from a variety of profession.
The 2-day event will be hosted by different by Sungkum Aier, Mengu Soukhrie and Imlee Lee.
