The Peren unit of the All Nagaland Hindi Teacher Union (ANHTU) has expressed its grievance at the delay in the salary of Hindi teachers. It stated that it also approached the concerned DEO/SDEO to discuss the matter.

A press release by ANHTU president, Rangwam Zeliang further said that it had also submitted an appeal letter to both establishments, stating that the salary should be released on time as sanctioned and it also requested the concerned authority to take the matter seriously.

According to ANHTU despite the humble request, “the DEO did not release the salary of Hindi teacher till date.” The union asked for the reason of the delay from the concerned DEO.

In the press statement ANHTU also appealed to the DoSE to look into the matter of the delay in salary even though the sanction for March-April salary was already made on June 16. It also pointed out that other teachers of the same district under SDEO have received their salaries while the salary of Hindi teachers under DEO was yet to be released.
