NRYO holds 1st Literary Day

New Reserve Youth Organization (NRYO), Kohima organized its 1st Literary Day under the theme, “For a better tomorrow” at new reserve police drill shed on August 22. 

A press release from NRYO general secretary, Mhashekhoto Churhah stated that Sr SP Kohima, Vekhosa Chakhesang, who graced the opening ceremony, exhorted the youth present to lead exemplary and dignified lives. 

He called upon the youth to not be hesitant in approaching elders for advice but grab the opportunities at their disposal. 

All the six sectors from the colony namely Tekhuba, Upper MT, Lower MT, Dairy Farm, Project and IG sector participated in the literary meet. 

The meet conducted essay writing, debate, spell bee, extempore, mascot making, story-telling, quiz and painting competitions for different categories. 

Chairman New Reserve Council, Dr. Asalie Khezhie exhorted the youth, while a welcome address was delivered by Hoinato Ayemi. The program culminated with the prize distribution ceremony chaired by NRYO general secretary, Mhashekhoto Chiirhah and treasurer, Achano Kikhi.
