
State deputy chief minister and BLP leader, Y. Patton while highlighting the problems faced by the state has requested the centre for immediate release of funds for various central schemes including fund for Special Plan Assistance (SPA) to the state. Patton made this request at a meeting of all BJP chief ministers and deputy chief ministers at BJP headquarters, 6-A Deendayal Upadhyay Marg. New Delhi on August 28.
According to dy.CM office media cell, the meeting was chaired by BJP president Amit Shah and addressed by prime minister Narendra Modi. Chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of all BJP-ruled states attended the meeting. At the meeting, presentation on the achievements of four years of BJP-led NDA government and monitoring of various schemes of the state government were highlighted. Suggestion and future programmes were also taken up at the meeting.
It also reaffirmed on the commitment of the BJP to deliver goods to the people and to work harder to make the dreams and expectation of the people a reality. Patton expressed gratitude to the prime minister for his patient hearing on all issues and suggestions. Meanwhile, as per the direction by the central leadership, the states will be organizing various social welfare programmes and functions frequently in their respective state.
Patton fetes M’laya CM
State deputy chief minister and leader of BJP legislature party Nagaland, Y Patton, has congratulated Meghalaya chief minister and president of National People’s Party (NPP), Conrad K Sangma, on winning the by-election to the South Tura Assembly Constituency.
In a press release, Patton stated that his victory reflects the trust and confidence of the people in his leadership.
Patton expressed hope that Meghalaya government under the leadership of Conrad Sangma would deliver stable and people’s welfare oriented government. He further conveys optimism that Sangma’s leadership would further pave way for better coordination amongst the leaders of the north-eastern states.
