A Navy Recruitment, exclusively for the youth of Nagaland and Mizoram, was held at Bhagat Stadium, Rangapahar Military Station on September 5.
PRO (Defence), Col. C. Konwer, in a press release said that an overwhelming number of youth from all districts tried out for the Navy. According to Col. Konwer, the surge in candidates to join the Navy from the eastern most States of the country will bring about rapid socio-economic development of Naga and Mizo Hill Tribes.
The recruitment was conducted with the help of HQ 3 Corps, which carried out necessary liaison and coordinated with civil administration. The Navy Recruitment Office also received very positive support from ARO Rangapahar. Interested candidates can apply for the Navy through www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
