Private colleges form PCAN for value based education

Heads of governing bodies and principals of various private colleges in Nagaland formed an association under the name and style of Private Colleges Association Nagaland (PCAN) on September 8 at conference hall Immanuel College, Dimapur. 

A press release from PCAN president (interim) Dr. Sashimeren Aier and general secretary (interim) N. Kumar stated that the goals of the association was to enhance value based quality higher education in Nagaland. The association also aims to install a momentum of quality consciousness among private colleges and strengthen and motivate them for continuous quality improvement.

The session meeting was chaired by Er. Moa Aier president C-Edge College as chairman, Vezühü Keyho principal Capital College Kohima as secretary, S P Francis MD Model Christian College Kohima and Dr. A Loso Chalai, chairman Immanuel College Dimapur as speaker. 

An interim executive body was formed with Dr. Sashimeren Aier chairman, Corner Stone College Dimapur as president, N. Kumar MD, City College Dimapur as general secretary and S. P Francis (MD, Model Christian College Kohima) as treasurer.
