Seyochung Area Students’ Union (SASU) has served a seven-day ultimatum on the DEO and SDEO demanding stern action against proxy teachers under its jurisdiction.
In a press note, SASU president, Chumseli K and general secretary Holise Sangatm said despite several warning and plea to the government teachers to perform their duty in their respective posting places, the practice of proxy teachers was still taking place.
Therefore, the union warned that failure to initiate action against the erring teachers within the stipulated deadline, SASU will be compelled to take its own course of action and for which the department concern will be held responsible for negligence.
