Eminent music personality, Nise Meruno will be writing few songs for Alisha Chinai’s comeback album. Alisha’s biggest hit includes, “Made in India”, “Kajra Re”, “Tarzan” besides many other Bollywood hits. She is known as the first India Pop diva, who rocked the music world during the 90s. Alisha has performed all over the world including the Wembley Stadium for Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the UK. This is indeed a proud moment not only for Meruno himself but for the state as well. Nise whose composition skills have also gained recognition, has been writing school anthems, the Hornbill theme song besides his own songs.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, Nise said he first met Alisha in Mumbai few years back when he was performing for the Piramals along with Zowe Madrigal. “I was truly elated when she came and spoke to us and even more so when she said she would like to collaborate.” “I came to know what ‘Starstruck’ is now.” “I grew up listening and dancing to her songs and to be meeting her in real was truly unbelievably wonderful.”, Nise added.
“We stayed in touch and she asked me to write some songs for her to which I gladly agreed.” Nise shared that when he first sent a rough sample of the first song, Alisha was thrilled and called him right away. “That was truly delightful and rewarding as well”, expressed Nise. The first song will soon be going for recording while the release is expected in the early part of next year.
When asked on if he has anything to share, Meruno said sometimes we think we live in a far off land, poorly accessible, chances of getting a big break are remote but I say it is possible. When we allow our true self, innate talent, tenacious discipline and blazing passion be aligned with God’s will then even the most impossible dreams will unfold, said Meruno.
