Jarem OffOn film under the aegis of hill theatre was officially screened Friday, at Europa inn Dimapur in the presence of MW enterprise chairman, MD Moa Walling as special guest.
The film was directed by Bendang Walling which is his first directorial venture as a filmmaker. As founder director of hills theatre, he has directed a total of 12 theatre plays which have been performed all over the country during various theatre festivals.
Speaking at the screening of the programme, special guest expressed his honour and privileged to be part of the programme.
Walling also expressed his feeling saying that movie is something that comes out from the soul of a person.
If singing can improve the looks of a person than he felt that acting really attract the soul of a person, that is how we can reach to other people, he said singing and acting as talent can differentiate and distinguish on how and what we are.
Walling also called upon the gathering saying it is the right time in making a move towards interacting and reaching the advance World we are facing today. Though we cannot tell everyone what is happening in Nagaland and society, through this kind of initiative and creativity we can reach out to the other world to let them understand what we are capable of what we can really do, he added.
Applauding the director and the team, he hoped that the movie will have a good impact and grand success. In this, he also encouraged them to have such kind of will so that it will not only uplift the social understanding but also encourage the upcoming youngsters.
Sentilong Ozukum is the author of the movie, Aakum Den is the editor, sound and assistant director, sound FX Nokrang, Limanungdang Ao art direction, production manager Sennagba Longchar, make up Atu Ao, lights Kikameren Longchar & Aakum Den.
The movie is screen played by Talilula with cinematographer Menang Jamir & Supong Al and Music by Alem Aier.
OffOn Productions Pvt Ltd presented Jarem adapted from the book “Sincerely yours” a film by Bendang Walling. The film is about life which has never been the same for 15 years old Jarem even since the haunting began days after his family moved to a new home. The film shows us the inside of knowing Jarmen and his journey towards whether he will ever be released from the bondage of the supernatural forces.
