NNC parent body mourns

The NNC parent body has mourned the demise of ‘maj. gen’ Yibenthung Kikon, after a prolonged illness, on September 19. 

A condolence message from NNC parent body information and publicity wing stated that late Yibenthung had joined Naga Army since 1956 and served the Naga people and nation with devotion. He was one of the longest serving Naga army man in Eastern command in Konyak region during the worst times of troubles and hardships in the homeland, stated the message. 

The NNC said that it had lost another firm, sincere and dedicated gentleman who worked for the freedom of the Naga people. It conveyed its condolences to the family and saluted the noble departed soul.
