Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) will be observing Swachhata Hi Seva by organizing large scale citizen engagement activities for awareness generation and community mobilization during the fortnight in the form of clean and green drives, Swachhata pledges and rallies etc.
KMC administrator Kovi Meyase in a release stated that in Kohima, cleanliness drives around bus stand, fly over, WW-II park, water bodies and tan areas with NGOs will be held on September 27.
White washing Kohima town, mass social work in all the wards and schools will be held on September 29.
In this regard, KMC has informed all wards, and schools to participate accordingly and also that cash awards shall be awarded to the best performing ward and school.
