     1. Before purchasing any food items, please check and read the labels, such as manufacturing date, best before date, FSSAI licence number on the package, etc.

    2. Do not buy ready to eat foods wrapped in newspaper. The ink on the paper can contaminate the food product and in turn can affect your health.

    3. Your Food is Your Choice. However, try to avoid Food High in Fat, Salt & Sugar (HFSS).

    4. When purchasing any imported food item, see to it that it has the name and address of the importer in India on the package/container.

Food Safety Regulators of Kohima District hereby appeal to the consumers to kindly participate and report to the Office of the Designated Officer (Chief Medical Officer), Kohima in regard to any Food complaints. Colony Panchayats/Youth Organisations can also write to the undersigned if joint inspection needs to be done in regard to food items in your colonies.
