Magnum Opus IV, a music and art festival, organized by Act of Kindness will be held on October 24 and 25 at Urban Haat, Walford, Dimapur.
The event will feature various activities including workshops and contests on story-writing, fiction/folk, short stories, exhibition art/poetry, photography and live concert.
The event has been organized in collaboration with North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) and M/W enterprises.
The festival will provide a platform for artistes in the field of music and art to win cash prizes and gift hampers.
The best original live performance will get an audio and video contract sponsored by Richa Productions besides a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
Winner’s for the poetry competition and short story writing competition, will walk away with a cash prize and also receive book gift hampers whereas selected short stories will be published by Heritage Publishing House and every three years selected poems will be featured in the book ‘The bards of Magnum Opus.’
Besides, showcasing various art works, floor talks and art demonstration by collaborating artistes like Artsy Naga Ajung Jamir, Inoto Achumi, Viphre Sorhei, Mannyei Phone, Masakala Tzudir, Kawoto Achumi, One, art competition will also take place during the event where winner art will win prizes worth Rs 10,000 to two artists and consolation prizes of Rs 5000 to three artists.
The Cosplay competition will have two categories, best costume and best CosPlayer where the winners will be handed Rs 10,000 each.
Various artistes to perform live during the festival includes Kekhrie Ringa, Since 90’s, Imsumanen, Nungshiyanger who will be performing on the first night whereas Ambush, Kenny & The faith band, Kimatsung, Mino Shiu and Dance generation will be performing on the second day.
