Kiren Rijiju distributed agricultural machineries like power tiller, grass cutter and other tools to farmers of Kiphire district.
“To fulfil @narendramodi ji’s target of doubling the income of the farmers by 2022, various agricultural tools were distributed to the farmers of aspirational district of Kiphire in Nagaland. I along with CM @Neiphiu_Rio ji and his entire cabinet Ministers shared the farmer’s joy,” Rijiju tweeted.
Addressing a hurriedly called press conference, chief minister Neiphiu Rio highlighted about the November 9 cabinet declaration. Rio asserted that the PDA government was committed and focused on all round development of the state particularly in the field of infrastructure, social and economic progress.
Lamenting that there has been a critical shortage of around 60% doctors and nurses in the state, Rio however said that the government was trying its best to resolve the issue. On Agri sector, he encouraged the farmers to be productive. “One should not eat the seeds but should cultivate and eats its fruits,” he added.
