Led by Swachh Bharat brand ambassador, Dimapur district, Achum Jami and brand ambassador-&-convenor Dimapur district, T. Lucas Aier, a cleanliness drive was carried out in and around Supermarket area, Dimapur on Saturday.
The drive was conducted in collaboration with the District Administration, Dimapur Municipal Council, PHED Dimapur, District Urban Development and Development Authority of Nagaland with the participation of area GBs and leaders.
According to brand ambassador, Achum and convener, Lucas, this cleanliness drive will be regularly carried out twice a month. Through this, they want to promote cleanliness among traders doing business in the area.
In view of the approaching festive season and to keep the surrounding clean, the team also has more cleanliness drives planned for the town, during which they will also give away trash bins to traders.
The brand ambassador has appealed to all traders and individuals to extend their cooperation and participate in the proposed cleanliness drives. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Swachh Bharat Mission is a nationwide campaign in India that aims to clean up streets, roads and infrastructure in cities, towns and rural areas. It was launched in 2014.
