Famous Italian guitarists Thu le and Lorenzo Bernardi calling themselves as ‘The Duo’ will be performing at various venues in Dimapur on December 10 and 11.
Touring under the theme ‘Un Viaggio in Italia’, The Duo, hosted Life Music Academy (LMA), will first perform at Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) campus from 4 p.m. proceeds of which will benefit the poor patients.
The Duo will then perform at another concert to be held at hotel Acacia on December 11, 4 p.m.
They will also hold master-classes on December 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at LMA-CIHSR campus.
LMA with the support of the Indian Guitar Federation (IGF) is committed in promoting Music Education in Nagaland and beyond. The goal of this events is to reach out to the people in promoting Western Classical Musicians to help musicians , young and old, to develop and hone their skills and knowledge in classical music and in particular about Italian guitar repertoire.
The Duo made their debut on May 2018 in Manama, Bahrain, and since then they started a tour of concerts to Italy, Vietnam, Indonesia and India(presently) this year.
Their concerts pays homage to the great Italian musical tradition where the audience will experience ajourney of various musical style from the Italian Baroque of Domenico Scarlatti and Antonio Vivaldito the contemporary Ennio Morricone, passing through the Neopolitan songand even Opera, with Gioacchino Rossini, which they will give tribute to Rossini’s 150th death.
