Kohima College organizes Parting Social

Kohima College, Kohima (KCK) held its 52nd Parting Social on March 2 in the college courtyard. 

A press release from Mass Media Cell, KCK, Cheryl Kevichusa, stated that speaking at the occasion as the guest speaker, Project Director, Music Task Force, government of Nagaland, Dr. Hovithal Sothu called upon students to assess and evaluate their traits and skills which, he said, will help them set aims for themselves as they venture out into the real world. He laid stress on the importance of having a vision, and using it for the good of society. Dr. Sothu further stated that the key to staying in power was to cultivate a vision, pursue said vision, never give up even during trying times, and to continue to be humble and grounded. He also encouraged students to develop the qualities of determination and perseverance.

Vice principal, KCK, Thinuokhrienuo Tseikhanuo, delivered the welcome address, where she stated that college life of a student was the most crucial because their views about life are formed during this period. The student develops confidence and principles, suspicions and doubts, she added. Thinuokhrienuo encouraged students to strive forward with the good values they accumulated over the years. Youth co-ordinator, NBCC, Khrievi Sahu, prayed for the outgoing students, and short speeches were delivered by Asani Victoria on behalf of the outgoing students and Zapoi Dzüdo-O on behalf of the remaining students.

A special song was presented by Sungtimen Alinger, and the invocation prayer was pronounced by Tsuken Lam. The program was chaired by Khrüvotalü Ringa and Lithrongba Jingru, delivered a vote of thanks.
