Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, distributed bio-degradable bags to NGOs, DMC Dimapur and administrative officers on March 4 at the DC Dimapur office campus.
According to DIPR, the biodegradable bags had been received under the Chief Minister’s Corpus Fund as part of the Plastic Free Nagaland program. Kevekha handed over the Green Solution bags to the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce, Business Association of Nagas, East Dimapur Business Association, ADCs Niuland and Medziphema, CMO Dimapur, DMC and DC office Dimapur. After the distribution, he urged the people to use these environment friendly bags judiciously so that the use of plastic bags could be reduced to some extent.
