
Saptiqa Area Students Union (SASU) will be undertaking an educational tour of government schools under its jurisdiction starting from March till end of the 2019 academic session.
SASU, in a press release by president, Toino Awomi, stated that the unanimous decision was taken at its presidential meeting held on March 2 in Kohima. The tour, the release stated, will help students propel themselves towards progress and encourage the teaching fraternity to impart quality education. This will enable students to keep up with their counterparts from urban areas as they enter higher education.
SASU stated that the tour will be headed by four student bodies consecutively each month under its banner.
SASU has solicited the support and cooperation of leaders and well wishers from Saptiqa area for the student community’s welfare.
SASU also reiterated its earlier resolution to ban impersonation/proxy teachers at Saptiqa Government High School, adding that it will not hesitate to report defaulters.
