DTF Longleng meeting on IPPI

A District Task Force (DTF) meeting to discuss the upcoming Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) campaign, slated for March 10, was held at the deputy commissioner’s Conference Hall on March 4 in Longleng.

A press release from CMO office Longleng, district media officer, Roseline stated that in his keynote address, DC Longleng, John Tsulise Sangtam, lauded the medical department for their commendable work in the district. He encouraged the department to ensure cent percent coverage in the district. Sangtam also appealed to the Social Welfare department to extend their support to the Medical department during the IPPI. He also stated that ASHAs and Anganwadi workers should coordinate among themselves and work together.  
Dr Imnameren Phom DPO (RCH/UIP) gave a slide-show presentation on the district’s micro plan for the IPPI. It was a brief report on polio, symptoms, prevention, global case load etc. He also presented detailed headcounts, total number of booths, transit points, and overall district manpower. 
Dr Phom also thanked the administration and the police department for their help and support. 
The meeting chaired by John Tsulise Sangtam was attended by Temsuwati Longkumer ADC Longleng; Atopu Sumi additional SP; Dr. Manen Phom MO PHC Yongnyah; Dr. Lirenthung Khuvung MO RBSK; T Longlang CDPO Tamlu, VCCM, district media officer, and Manpong, vaccinator.
