
Around 55 members of the NPGN/NNC (Non-Accord) have resigned following the termination of the chief of the army, Iheto Aye.
In a press statement, Iheto Aye claimed that he was terminated by NPGN/NNC ato kilonser, Hozheto Chophi “directly without any inquiry or consultation” and by misusing the power of the “Yezhabo”. In this regard, Iheto claimed that he along with the army chief staff, Zunheboto town commander, Tuensang town commander with their respective command have resigned from NPGN/NNC.
Iheto said that the following members had resigned– ‘lt. col.’ Khetoi Aye, Zunheboto town commander, ‘capt.’ Aketo Aye; ‘capt.’ Honito Sumi; ‘maj.’ Mughavi Chophi, army chief secretary; ‘maj.’ Tongliba Sangtam, ‘maj.’ Hothung Chang, ‘capt.’ Davis Swu, ‘capt.’ Vikuto Sumi, ‘capt.’ Vikugha Sumi, ‘capt.’ Hikavi Sumi, ‘capt.’ Yetho Awomi, ‘capt.’ Thampu Leinon, ‘capt.’ Vihoshe Murri, ‘lieut.’ Itovi Murri and ‘lieut.’ Hukai Aye and 40 other members.
