Opposition NPF was still yet to take a call on who will be contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the party.
According to NPF sources, the party had received two applications seeking NPF ticket– a senior NPF functionary and a former BJP member.
Though hectic parleys were on at Kohima, sources said NPF was unable to finalize the candidate’s name. If NPF decides to field a candidate, the Lok Sabha polls will witness a three-cornered contest between– NDPP-PDA, Congress and NPF.
Meanwhile, NPP was also yet to decide whether or not to filed O. Tinu Longkumer as its candidate for the 26-Aonglenden A/C by-poll, considering the post poll alliance with the NDPP, who has already set up a candidate.
