Forum for Cultural Studies (FoCuS), Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) University Nagaland, on March 21 celebrated its 3rd Annual Cultural Day under the theme, “Culture, Preservation and Change”, at the university premises.
A press release by FoCuS stated that resource person for the event, Dimapur Government College, assistant professor, Dr. Benjonkumba, asserted that culture gives people an organized life and community.
He encouraged the students to preserve culture by participating in cultural events and other related activities.
The first session, chaired by Liche-ü Therie, included presentation of folksongs by music club, folkdances, folktale enactments and recitations.
Traditional attires of over twenty-four communities were exhibited in the second session.
The Green Club also organized a plant donation drive as part of the event.
