
A Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) Peren district team conducted a series of medical camps in the month of April at ten different villages across Peren district.
A press release by the office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Peren stated that the MMU team carried out health camps and provided free medical services such as basic health check- ups, distributed free medication, and conducted blood test and health talks.
The release from MMU Peren stated that a team led by Dr. Anungla and staff of Poilwa Primary Health Centre (PHC) conducted medical camp on April 16 at Helagem village. A team led by DPO (UIP/RCH), Dr. Nukshisangla and MMU team conducted a camp at New Peren Village on April 27; a team led by Dr. Martha and staff of PHC Dungki conducted a medical camp on April 20 at Deukoram village; medical camps held at Beisumpuikam, Jalukiekam, Jalukie Zandi and Libemphai on April 15-16 was led by Dr. Phenriwangbo Newmai and an MMU team. Dr. Vizokhulo Khamo and staff of Athibung PHC conducted the camps on April 27-28 at Pelhang and Pelhang B and a camp was conducted at Old Nkio on April 28 led by Dr. Nuksung Jamir and staff of Tening PHC.
