Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC) conducted an awareness programme in collaboration with Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) on Women Helpline (181), POCSO Act 2012 and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao on May 3 at the Lydia Centre, Peren town.
A press release from caseworker Sakhi-(OSC), Peheilusile Haisobe stated that the programme was chaired by counsellor (OSC), Grace and encouraged the attendees to memorize the emergency numbers which will come handy in day to day life.
District welfare officer (MSK), Heiriateilei, spoke on various schemes for women and girl child available in Peren district, POCSO Act 2012, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and emphasized on 10 legal rights for women. While Peheilusile Haisobe, spoke on how to avail the services from Sakhi-One Stop Centre and Women Helpline (181).
She also encouraged the women and girls to avail the benefits and stand for their rights.
