Indian Army remembered Maj David Manlun, Kirti Chakra (Posthumous), 164 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) NAGA (Parent Unit 1 NAGA) on his second death anniversary on June 6.
According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), Maj David Manlun laid down his life on June 6, 2017 during an encounter with ULFA (I) insurgents at Lapa villge, Tizit, Mon district. For his act of bravery and supreme sacrifice, Maj David Manlun was conferred with Kirti Chakra (Posthumous) on August 15, 2017.
Wreath laying ceremony was held at Zakhama & Tizit, Mon to honour the martyr.
