Governor hands over library books

Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya handed over library books to Government Middle School (GMS), Viswema and Joe Foundation Inclusive School (JFIS), Kohima on 12 as part of the “Library Programme” sponsored by Team Naga Chetana, Rotary Club of Karkala and Reading Star, an NGO that works to ensure that every school is equipped with a library. 

A press release from PRO to Governor stated that, Acharya called on the students to respect their teachers and to enrich themselves with knowledge. He also encouraged the students to read as much as they could and make use of the library in their schools. Governor also encouraged the teachers to strengthen the society by imparting the right education and knowledge to their students. He also stated that everyone should make best use of the infrastructure in their institutions for the betterment of the students and asked all to be positive and work with greater vision and enthusiasm. 

The programme was motivated by India National Fellowship Centre (INFC), an NGO from Mumbai and initiated by the Governor Acharya. The schools will also be given two dictionaries each to be used by the students and teachers.
