Awareness on conservation of nature in Noksen

Nagaland Forest Department (NFD) organized an awareness campaign at Community Hall, Noksen village, Tuensang, on June 12, for conservation of nature, forest and wildlife “for community and schools of Noksen Community Reserve”. 

A press release from NFD stated that chief wildlife warden, Nagaland, Satya Prakash Tripathi, in his key address highlighted the importance of forest and wildlife. He further stated that all basic needs of our life were met from forests. 
He said that forests also address the issue of climate change, global warming, carbon sequestration, food/ water/ ecological security of our country and appealed to participants for inculcating habit of forest and wildlife conservation in their mind and act as the brand ambassador of the forest department in spreading the message of nature conservation.
 Chairman, Noksen Village Council chaired the programme and welcomed the participants on behalf of Noksen Village and vote of thanks was delivered by Forest Range Officer, Longkhim, Serili Sangtam. 
Around 300 participants of Noksen Village Community attended the programme. 
The programme was sponsored under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Community Reserve of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate, Change, Government of India, New Delhi.
