
Training on routine immunization handbook for medical officers and health workers and district workshop on Rota Virus Immunization (RVI) was held on June 10 to 12 at conference hall, CHC Jalukie.
A press release from CMO office, district media officer Pezanguno Celine Secii stated that, resource persons for the training were Dr. M Nukshisangla Jamir, DPO UIP/RCH, Dr. Chamzai MO Tening PHC, Dr. Ramdeu, MO Heningkunglwa PHC and Dr. Albert, MO CHC Jalukie. Rajesh, project officer, UNDP also attended training as district monitor.
Training covered various topics and how to manage cold chain and vaccine carrier, managing session site, records, reports, use of data for action and MCTs, RCH portals and about partnering with communities to increase coverage.
The training was attended by the medical officers and nurses of all the health units under Peren district including district programme manager, district community mobilizer, IEC personnel, VCCM, vaccinator and block programme managers and ASHA coordinators of the four blocks. Training also included pre-test and post-test, role plays, discussion hour and films were flashed on immunization and hands on skill practice.
