Salesian College hosts 2nd Adivasi Yuva Sammilan

 Salesian College of Higher Education hosted 2nd Adivasi Yuva Sammilan in its campus on July 14, where around 350 Adivasi youths from Singrijan, Chekiye A, Chekiye B, Lahorijan, Burma Camp, Borlengrijan, Lengrijan and Khatkhatti villages participated in the day long programme. 

Programme started with welcome song and welcome address was delivered by Fr Avay, deputy director of Salesian College. Prayer dance was given by Lahorijan village, followed by motivating speech by youth director of Salesian College, Fr. Christudoss A. 

Teachers of the college also presented felicitation, song, theme song and talks. Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Jonas Kerketta, media in-charge of Salesian Province of Dimapur. A motivating speech was given by vice principal and the dean of Salesian College of Higher Education Fr. C. D. Mathai in the afternoon programme. Cultural dances were presented by various Adivasi groups from Lahorijan, Lengrijan, Khatkhatti, Borlengri, Burma camp, Chekiye, Singrijan, Garobasti, Chetranolla.
