District tuberculosis forum Zunheboto held its 2nd meeting on August 8 at the chamber of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto.
A press release by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office stated CMO Zunheboto Dr. C. W. Tungoe encouraged and motivated the members to take special initiative as TB programme was one of the important public health undertakings.
District TB Officer, Zunheboto Dr. G. Viholi Sema gave a brief overview and objectives of TB Forum and highlighted about the importance to coordinate among allied departments and civil societies.
She also emphasised on the role of TB Forum members and asked them to support, supervise, monitor and ensure implementation of TB activities in the district. Dr. Viholi also highlighted the activities of RNTCP carried out in the district.
The meeting was chaired by DC Zunheboto and chairman district TB Forum, Zunheboto Peter Lichamo; short testimony was given by a cured TB patient and vote of thanks was delivered by STS, RNTCP, Zunheboto, Anatoli.
The meeting was attended by DC, SP, ADC, CMO, DPO (RCH &UIP), deputy CMO, secretary, Indian Red Cross, Zunheboto, DTO- RNTCP, EAC, STH, Church leaders and IEC bureau Zunheboto.
