DoSE holds state level science seminar

Nagaland State Level Science Seminar 2019 organised by Directorate of School Education (DoSE) and hosted District Education Office (DEO), Mokokchung was held on the topic, “Periodic table of chemical elements: Impact on human welfare” at town hall, Mokokchung on September 11.

According to DIPR report, DC Mokokchung, Rajesh Soundararajan as special guest asked the students, not to see science only as a subject but to look from the perspective of how science have contributed in human lives. He said one needed to focus and understand the basic and fundamentals of science and should be comfortable with the subject. DC further urged all the students to make use of the programme for more knowledge.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by DEO Mokokchung, Sademmongla, keynote address by dy. director (DoSE), Limadangit Jamir and special songs were presented by GHS Dilon and Edith Douglas HSS, vote of thanks was said by ADEO Mokokchung, Satemkala while sr. principal MGHSS chaired the programme.

In the competition, Shangmeth M. Konyak from Sacred Heart School, Mon secured the first position, followed by Kelhule Nagi from Baptist Mission School, Jotsoma Kohima and Komal Haokip from Jubilee Memorial School, Mokokchung in the second and third positions.
