A monitoring and supervisory team led by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Phek, Dr. Vibeituonuo Mepfuo visited health units under Meluri Block and Phek Block from September 3-9.
A press release by the CMO office stated that the team comprised of program officers, (DPO RCH/UIP), Dr. Kolhitso Khalo, DVBO, Dr. lanuakum, epidemiologist, Dr. Limatoshi, MO, Dr. Martin, DPM NHM, Sede, DAM, Martenzuk and pharmacist Chubanaro and Shekho.
The release stated that the team carried out supervisory checks of the health units maintenance, implementation of all health programmes, regularity of staff, involvement of the community in health activities, waste management, etc.
The team also visited the far flung village of Avangkhu where a new sub centre was in process.
