Power department has informed all the consumers under Chumukedima electrical division that the department would continue to disconnect power supply of payment defaulters without any further notice.
In a press release, executive engineer Chumukedima electrical division stated that the disconnection drive would affect defaulters of all categories of consumers in towns and villages falling under Chumukedima electrical division. The department has, therefore, requested all the consumers in the towns and villages under Chumukedima, Dhansiripar, Niuland, Kuhuboto, Medziphema and Ralan administrative blocks to take note of it and pay their electricity bills.
Further, the department has informed that if there were cases of non-receipt of bills or discrepancy in the bills, the consumers could report to the office of the concerned SDO (electrical) to resolve the issues.
