Department of Home Guards and Civil Defence, Wokha, organised one-day training on disaster management for church workers at Wokha Town Baptist Church (WTBC) premises, under the leadership of district commandant Vikiho K. Sema on February 17.
A press release from WTBC office clerk, James M Kithan stated that, the department imparted a detailed and effective training with demonstration on CPR, FBAO, bandaging, knot and lashing, splinting and emergency method of rescue to the trainees.
The training was attended by church staff, deacons, deaconesses, stewards, youth leaders and Sunday School teachers.
WTBC thanked the department for organizing the programme and further stated that, through these training many people gained and understood on how to save lives and rescue from further damages.
