Dimapur Ao Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (DABPF) has resolved to sincerely appreciate and support the bold step taken by Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) in serving a seven-day ultimatum on February 22 to excise commissioner to shut down liquor outlets in the town.

The organisation said shutting down liquor shops was long felt by every right thinking citizen, particularly the churches all over the State.

DABPF observed that many families were wrecked due to alcohol consumption, even as the menace produced many anti-social elements in the society and destroyed many young people’s careers.

Acknowledging the initiatives, the body extended prayers and assured full support to DNSU, while requesting members of the churches to pray till the mission was fulfilled.

This was stated in a press release by DABPF president Lipok Jamir and secretary L Panger.
