Gov, Dy. CM extend Sekrenyi greetings

Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi and deputy chief minister, Y. Patton extended Sekrenyi greetings to the people of Nagaland specially the Angami community. 
In his message, Ravi said the traditional Sekrenyi festival was an occasion for the Angami people to come together in the spirit of togetherness “cleansing themselves of any ill-will against each other.” 
He said that it was the festival like Sekrenyi that has kept the unity of the people through centuries. Governor also urged the Angami youth to follow the tradition and appreciate the underlying intellectual, spiritual and philosophical significance of Sekrenyi for the community on this auspicious occasion. 
He wished peace, good health and prosperity to the people of Nagaland.
Dy. CM: Deputy chief minister and BJP Nagaland legislature party leader, Y Patton, has conveyed Sekrenyi mini-Hornbill festival greetings to the Angamis. 
Patton said that festivals were “depiction of our forefathers’ ways of life”, adding that “to preserve and uphold it has become our bounden duty.” 
Patton, on behalf of the state BJP legislators, wished Angamis “a very happy Sekrenyi” and prayed that the festival brings forth harmony and prosperity.
