The Central Goods and Services Tax, Dimapur Commissionerate conducted a special drive from March 1 to 15 to address taxpayers’ grievances and resolve queries on issues related to GST.
Central GST Offices at Dimapur, Kohima and Mokokchung were available for any query from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm without prior appointment on all working days during the period, informed Sashi Wapang Lanu, Joint Commissioner in a press release.
Two meetings were also conducted on March 5 and March 12. Taxpayers and tax practitioners attended the meeting and several queries were resolved, informed the Joint Commissioner. Issues related to policy matters were taken note of and sent to the higher authorities for redressal, he added.
The meetings were chaired by K. Ashi Khieya, Commissioner, CGST. The queries received by the office during the special drive period were generally on the areas of GST Registration, Filing of Returns, Input Tax Credit issues and Refunds.
It has also informed the general public and taxpayers to visit the GST Seva Kendra (Help Desk) located on 5th floor, Agarwal Tower, Circular Road, Dimapur for any query or clarification related to GST.
