Centennial jubilee held at Longtsüng

Amidst the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic across the nation and call for social distancing, Longtsüng Baptist Church celebrated its centennial jubilee under the theme, “Nteno a ehongpvüiden” (You are my witnesses) Acts1:8 on March 21-22 at Longtsüng village.

It may be noted that Nagaland government also took several precautionary measures to prevent possible spread of COVID-19 and lockdown the state on March 23. The government has prevented social gathering, functions and movement of public, exception for essential or emergency cases.

In a press release, the jubilee planning committee stated that the theme speakers were Lotha missionary overseas, Rev. J. Thungjamo, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, senior pastor  Rev. Mhathung Lotha and Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, pastor Rev. Zanao Mozhu.

Greetings were delivered by advisor for Horticulture & Border Affairs Mhathung Yanthan and advisor for IT Science & Technology, NRE Mmhonlumo Kikon.

The jubilee chairperson was Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, pastor Rev Zanao Mozhüi; jubilee monolith was dedicated by Lotha Baptist Churches Association, executive secretary, Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha; jubilee hall was dedicated by Lakhuti Baptist Church, pastor Rev. Ezanbemo Odyuo and dedicatory prayer for jubilee theme and opening service was done by Lotsu Baptist Church, pastor Rev. Zaremo Tsanglae. Jubilee choir master was Nchumbemo Mozhüi,  jubilee pianist and choir director was Senjümbeni Jungi and jubilee bugle was called by Longshithung Yanthan Lotha. Hundreds attended the centennial jubilee celebration.
