
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, various societies and councils have been conducting sanitisation and disinfection drives in a bit to combat the spread of the disease.
Zunheboto town disinfected by sanitary workers: As assigned by Zunheboto Town Council for town maintenance, 13 sanitary workers cleaned the town area and emptied garbage from designated pickup points on daily basis. Sanitary workers engaged in disinfecting the town as of April 1, has disinfected the entire Zunheboto town area. Taking precautionary measures, the sanitary worker use personal protective equipments provided by Urban Development.
TST fumigates Tseminyu town: Tseminyu surveillance team (TST) on COVID-19 in collaboration with Tseminyu Town Council (TTC), conducted sanitization of key public places at Tseminyu town by process of fumigation on March 30.
MMC disinfects Mokokchung town: Disinfection drive was carried out at the Mokokchung town on March 31. The drive was carried out under the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) and Home Guards volunteers.
CHS conducts sanitisation programme: Members of Chümoukedima Hindu society (CHS) conducted sanitisation programme at Diphupar Police Station as precaution and preparedness in the eventuality COVID-19 outbreak.
HS & HYC joint sanitisation initiative: As part of the ongoing sanitisation initiative drive, Hindu Society (HS) and Hindu Yuva Chümoukedima (HYC) have been extending voluntary services to Police Station, Mosque, Lotha Baptist Church and bazaar areas.
