A special train from Chennai with 1464 stranded people on board is expected to reach Dimapur on May 22, 2020. According to a DIPR report, the APC and Dimapur COVID-19 district i/c, Y Kikheto Sema informed that the special arranged by the government would depart Chennai on May 19 evening.
Meanwhile, Sema expressed gratitude to all for coming forward to host and welcome the returnees.
He said there was realisation in the minds of the people that the stranded returnees were none other than “our own children, brothers and sisters.” Sema also informed that the government was getting more positive feedback as more communities and churches were coming forward to help and cooperate with the government and district administration.
