Deputy commissioner (DC) Mon, Thavaseelan K in an order has informed that sealing of inter-state borders of Mon district with Assam has been lifted with immediate effect. The inter-state movement of people and vehicles will be regulated according to the guidelines notified by the government. DC in another notification stated that total lockdown enforced in Mon sub-division on May 27 has been lifted in view of the cancellation of the arrival of the stranded persons from different parts of the country to Mon district. The revised date for enforcement of total lockdown will be notified as and when there is a confirmation of the dates on which returnees will be sent to Mon from Dimapur.
