
Community Health Officers (CHOs) of Phek district have been providing health care services at the grass root level across the district in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic.
A press release by NHM Phek informed that though COVID-19 pandemic has caught hold of all the health workers at all levels in the outbreak activities, the other health care services has not been ignored.
The release said CHOs have been providing family planning services, visiting elderly people for screening of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), giving ANC services to the pregnant women, providing palliative home care etc.
The release informed that CHOs are posted at sub-centres which are upgraded to Health & Wellness Centre (HWC) and are assigned to provide 12 health care services to the community for attainment of universal access to equitable, affordable and quality healthcare.
It said awareness on different health issues through demonstration are also been carried.
