Online training programme held for CCIs

NIPCCD, regional centre, Guwahati in collaboration with Child Protection Services (CPS), Nagaland, department of Social Welfare organised a three-day online training programme on minimum standard of care in child care institutions (CCIs) during COVID-19 for superintendents and executive members of NGOs running CCIs in Nagaland from May 26 to 28. 

In a press note, Child Protection Services Nagaland PM, SCPS Raitale Zeliang stated that, the training was organised with the objectives to orient participants– on child rights and child protection mechanism, Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Rules 2016, minimum standard of care and discuss their role in the care and rehabilitation of children in the CCIs during COVID-19. Resource persons were Dr. K. C. George, joint director, NIPCCD, Thangzamawi Guite, assistant director, NIPCCD and Meenakshi Barthakur, consultant psychologist. Over 40 CPS across the state participated at the three-day online training.
