Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally on Monday stood at 122, with 114 cases being active cases and all the patients are currently receiving medical care at designated COVID-19 hospitals.
Out of the 122 positive cases, 114 cases are asymptomatic even as eight have recovered after receiving treatment at the COVID hospitals. Further, 86 are male patients and 36 female. While four are in the age group of 0-17 years, 117 are in the age group of 18-44 years and one in the age group of 45-64 years.
Mentioning this, principal secretary (home) Abhijit Sinha said 5,367 persons were presently at facility quarantine and 7,855 in home quarantine.
He said 109 samples were also tested by TrueNat machines, of which 108 samples tested negative and result of one was awaited.
345 arrive on Monday: A total of 345 stranded citizens arrived Nagaland on June 8 from various parts of the country. Out of the 345, 125 arrived by flight from Kolkata and Guwahati, 124 from Delhi, 7 from Dibrugarh, 16 from Guwahati, 2 from Jorhat and 64 from Delhi by train, 4 from Guwahati and 3 from Siliguri by private cars.
Further, a special train from Gujarat and Maharashtra with 949 passengers was expected to arrive Dimapur around 12.30 a.m. June 8. Another special train from Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana is scheduled to depart for Nagaland on Tuesday.
Around 1400 expected
Around 1400 stranded persons are expected to arrive from Kerala on June 13. As per the COVID-19 dashboard, train no. 06420 which is scheduled to depart Thiruvananthapuram on June 9 is expected to arrive on June 13 morning.
Earlier, 390 people arrived on Sunday. Of these, 27 reached by air from Guwahati, 232 by train from Delhi and Dibrugarh, 89 from Uttar Pradesh and 29 from Jammu & Kashmir by bus and eight from Guwahati and five from Manipur by private cars.
