Nagaland COVID-19 tally now 163

Number of COVID-19 cases in Nagaland rose to 163 after 7 more returnees tested positive for the infection. With this the state’s active cases stood at 87 and 76 recovered as on June 13, 2020.

In a tweet, Health minister S. Pangnyu Phom said the seven new cases of COVID-19 positive were reported out of 216 samples tested. All the positive patients were shifted to the designated COVID hospitals for treatment. As per the severity of symptoms, all 87 active cases are asymptomatic. 

Results of 1329 awaited: Till date, a total of 5945 COVID-19 suspected samples were sent for testing out of which 4616 samples were received and 1329 samples awaited, Health department bulletin stated. Further, out of 434 samples test by TrueNat machine, 385 were negative and 2 positive. The results of 47 were awaited.

Meanwhile, 6774 persons were currently under facility quarantine and 1775 under home quarantine.
