ATMA Wokha, Wozhuro Block conducted a training-cum-demonstration programme at Sankiton village on June 9, with resource person Nzanthung Ngullie, ATM on “Fall Army Worm”.
A press release from ATMA Wokha stated that, Nzanthung spoke about the identification of the pests, different life cycles, various control measures and management techniques. Another topic “Awareness on locust attack” was given by Benthunglo Murry, BTM, which was followed by demonstrations on “Application of neem oil” and “Nursery bed preparation on carrot” by Nzanthung Ngullie, ATM and Loreni Kithan, ATM, respectively.
ATMA, Wozhuro Block also conducted a “Field day on litchi” at Tzungza village on June 10. The training concluded with distribution of neem oil to the farmers. 4 ATMA functionaries and 30 farmers attended the training programme.
